About Us
Kekuli Bay Cabinetry has been building custom cabinets in the Okanagan for over 27 years. Our factory and showroom are in Vernon, BC, with a second showroom in Kelowna, and we partner in Kekuli-Klyn Kitchen & Cabinetry in Kamloops. This position is based at our Vernon factory.

The Role
As Cabinet Assembly Team Lead, you'll guide the day-to-day work of our Residential Cabinetry assembly team. You'll keep production moving, hold quality to a high standard, and support your teammates, while still working hands-on when the line needs you. This role begins as a paid, hourly training position, with a review and transition to salary after a minimum of six months.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate the daily work of the cabinet assembly team
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and keep production on schedule
- Assemble cabinets and work hands-on alongside the team
- Inspect finished work for quality and address issues before product moves on
- Train new team members and coach the team on assembly methods and safe work practices
- Communicate with the production supervisor and neighbouring departments on schedules, materials, and any delays
- Follow and reinforce WorkSafeBC and company safety practices, and keep the work area clean and organized
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of cabinet assembly or manufacturing experience
- Comfort with hand and power tools (drills, palm sanders, pneumatic tools)
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Clear communication and a fair, steady approach to leading others
- Reliable transportation to our Vernon facility
Preferred
- Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring a team
- Woodworking or cabinetmaking background
- Knowledge of frameless/European-style cabinet construction
- Experience with production scheduling or quality inspection
- First Aid ticket
- WHMIS
Compensation $24.00 per hour to start, during a training period of at least six months. After a performance review, the role moves to an annual salary, determined at that time based on experience and performance.
