Café Manager / Lead Barista — ENROUTE Kitsilano

Pay: $22–$25 per hour, plus tips

Location: Kitsilano, Vancouver, BC

Shift hours: 7 a.m.–3 p.m.; some weekend availability required.

About the opportunity

ENROUTE is looking for a Café Manager / Lead Barista to lead our Kitsilano café and help shape its next chapter.

We’re looking for someone who loves great coffee, makes people feel welcome, and takes pride in running a dependable, well-organized café. Someone who enjoys getting to know the regulars, supporting their team, and bringing thoughtful ideas to the space.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll work behind the bar while taking responsibility for scheduling, ordering, and daily café operations. You’ll work closely with the ENROUTE team, with room to improve routines and contribute to the café’s drinks, atmosphere, and customer experience.

What you’ll do

- Prepare and serve consistently excellent coffee and drinks.
- Create a welcoming experience for regulars and first-time visitors.
- Manage the café team’s schedule and plan coverage.
- Handle supply ordering, monitor stock levels, and coordinate deliveries.
- Lead daily service and keep opening and closing routines running smoothly.
- Train and support café staff, setting clear standards for coffee and hospitality.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and oversee routine equipment care.
- Monitor waste and identify practical improvements to café operations.
- Bring forward ideas for drinks, menu additions,



and the space.
- Communicate staffing, supply, and equipment needs with the ENROUTE team.

What we’re looking for

- Strong barista experience and confidence preparing espresso-based drinks.
- Previous experience as a café manager, supervisor, or lead barista—or clear readiness to step into café management.
- An organized approach to scheduling, ordering, and following through.
- Warm, attentive customer service and clear communication.
- The ability to lead by example and stay calm during busy service.
- Someone who notices what needs doing and takes initiative.
- An interest in building lasting relationships with customers and teammates.

An interest in cycling, running, or the outdoors is welcome, but café experience and hospitality matter most.
