Vegas Convenience Store – Fernwood

Vegas Convenience Store is a small, busy 360-square-foot convenience store located in Fernwood Square across belfry theatre Vic high school. We are looking for a reliable, energetic Part-Time Store Associate who can handle a quick-paced environment and take pride in keeping the store fully stocked and organized.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide friendly and efficient customer service and handle sales transactions.
- Stock and restock shelves throughout the store.
- Stock and maintain beverage coolers and ice cream freezers.
- Move and organize inventory from storage to the sales floor.
- Regularly lift and place products on high shelves, as our small store requires us to maximize vertical storage space.
- Keep shelves, coolers, and the overall store clean and organized.
- Restock products from top to bottom throughout each shift.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment during busy school rush periods.
- Handle busy periods calmly and professionally, including periods when there are large groups of students in the store.

What We’re Looking For
- Part-time availability, including availability during busy school hours.




- Comfortable with frequent lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, and climbing/using a step stool safely to stock inventory.
- Physically capable of handling regular stocking and restocking duties.
- Alert, confident, and able to use valuable judgment when dealing with customers.
- Able to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to keep a very small store organized.
- Previous retail or convenience-store experience is an asset, but willingness to learn is important.

The Right Person This position is ideal for someone who is energetic, physically capable, quick-thinking, and comfortable taking responsibility. Because we are located directly across from a high school, the store can become particularly busy during school rushes. The successful candidate should be able to manage a busy customer flow, set appropriate boundaries, and provide respectful service while keeping the store running smoothly.
