About the Position
House of McGrath is looking for an organized, experienced, and customer-focused Catering Supervisor to coordinate catering operations and ensure smooth, professional service for events and functions. The successful candidate will supervise catering staff, coordinate food preparation and service, communicate with clients and team members, and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily catering operations and event-service activities.
- Lead, train, and support catering staff during events.
- Assign staff duties and coordinate schedules according to event requirements.
- Coordinate food preparation, setup, service, and cleanup.
- Ensure food is presented attractively and served according to agreed standards.
- Communicate with clients regarding event details, service requirements, and special requests.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food.
- Monitor inventory, catering supplies, equipment, and service materials.
- Assist with ordering and organizing food and event supplies.
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Monitor staff performance and provide guidance when needed.
- Resolve customer concerns and service issues professionally.
- Ensure tables, buffet stations, serving areas, and event spaces are properly set up.
- Monitor service during busy events and make adjustments when necessary.
- Complete event breakdown, cleanup, and equipment organization.
- Maintain accurate records and support management with catering operations.
Qualifications
- Previous catering, restaurant, hospitality, or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer-service abilities.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented.
- Ability to remain calm and organized during busy events.

Pay: $17.00-$23.00 per hour Expected hours: 33.0 per week
