Duties

- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient workflow
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology for precise diagnostics
- Manage patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and helping patients feel comfortable
- Support front desk operations by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist




- Assist with pediatrics and orthodontics cases, adapting care approaches to meet specific needs

Skills

- Proven experience with dental assisting techniques and procedures in a busy clinic environment
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practice and patient care
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Cleardent for record keeping and scheduling
- Experience supporting orthodontic treatments and working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide outstanding patient service
- Ability to operate CAD systems for digital impressions or other diagnostic tools
- Knowledge of sterilization protocols, infection control standards, and OSHA regulations
