Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Buyer specializing in retail or wholesale procurement to lead our purchasing operations. Duties

- Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to meet the company's retail or wholesale needs, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Manage vendor relationships through effective communication, performance evaluation, and negotiation to secure favorable terms and reliable supply.
- Utilize ERP systems like SAP to streamline procurement processes, monitor inventory levels via MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and optimize purchasing workflows.
- Lead procurement activities across multiple departments, coordinating with manufacturing teams to align supply chain operations with production schedules.
- Conduct market research to identify current suppliers, evaluate sourcing options, and implement innovative procurement solutions.
- Oversee pricing negotiations, contract management,



and compliance with procurement policies to maximize value for the organization.
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify risks or bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Chief Buyer or senior procurement professional within retail or wholesale sectors.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and other supply chain management tools; familiarity with manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, negotiation tactics, and strategic sourcing practices.
- Solid understanding of procurement principles including pricing strategies, MRP systems, and inventory control.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build lasting supplier relationships and collaborate across departments.
- Ability to analyze market trends, assess risks, and develop innovative solutions to meet organizational goals.
