Enhance the social and emotional growth of children as a Child Development Facilitator at NYWS. Create engaging educational programs in a trauma-informed environment to support children and their caregivers. NYWS is seeking a dedicated individual to provide educational programming for children and youth.
This role requires a strong foundation in child development, experiential learning, and community resources. Candidates will tailor activities to suit diverse needs while promoting resilience and positive interactions among clients and caregivers. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop age-appropriate educational and recreational programs
- Foster a trauma-informed and inclusive setting
- Support caregivers in responding to children’s needs
- Facilitate engaging activities to promote social skills
- Maintain accurate program documentation Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Child Development
- 2-3 years in child-focused programming
- Training in trauma-informed care necessary
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills Leverage your expertise in child development to foster positive change for children and youth within the NYWS community.
