Position Summary The Treasury Clerk reports to the Manager, Accounting Special Initiatives and prepares the daily and monthly reconciliation of five of the Division's bank accounts. Reviewing, confirming, and updating supplier bank information is also a critical duty of this position.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations for five Division bank accounts using the Oracle Cash Management Module.
- Upload daily bank statements and collaborate with Accounts Payable,
Accounts Receivable, and School Accounting to investigate and resolve outstanding transactions.
- Create receipts for daily bank account activity and initiate bank transfers between accounts within the FIS Cash Management Module.
- Process manual journal entries required for the transfer of Division funds to the payroll bank account.
- Review, confirm, and process all requests to add or update vendor banking details for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), evaluating submission quality and potential risk to eliminate or reduce the likelihood of error or fraud.
- Maintain accurate vendor documentation for audit purposes.
Provide backup coverage for P-Card administration and assist with cash flow projections and payment card processor databases as needed.
- Education/Qualifications
- Diploma in Accounting or Finance
- minimum two years of related experience
- demonstrated experience using computerized financial systems
- proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and Oracle
- excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
- experience in banking and accounts payable considered an asset
Rate of Pay
$30.32 - $35.45 per hour
