Clinic Support Team
Location: Remote (Alberta)
Background:
Euclid Telehealth is currently looking for a Clinic Support Team member with a passion for customer service in healthcare, be able to provide an exceptional patient experience, and has an enjoyment of technology, to provide patients with a caring experience about their ocular health.

At Euclid
Telehealth, we focus on eye disease screening for the leading causes of vision loss and blindness, such as: glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and others. Our Mission is to provide ocular health screening to everyone and ultimately eliminate preventable vision loss and blindness through the early detection of eye disease, by providing expert Ophthalmic care in a convenient, modern way.
1. Clinic Support Team - Tasks and responsibilities
Your responsibilities as Clinic Support Team will include, inter alia:
- Providing superiorpatient care and customer service, including ensuring seamless appointment bookings.
- Ensure Euclid Clinic schedules are fully booked to appropriate daily capacity while maintaining an organized, efficient, and well-balanced appointment schedule.
- Proactively manage patient recall and follow-up lists including contacting patients due for three months, six months, or other physician-recommended follow-up appointments and ensuring they are scheduled within the appropriate time frame.
- Review patient charts and physician care plans carefully to ensure required follow-ups investigations, referrals appointments and other recommended actions are completed appropriately.
- Identify and prioritize urgent or time sensitive appointments and ensure patients are booked and seen within the recommended time frame.
- Monitor clinic schedules for cancellations, openings, scheduling gaps, or other concerns and make adjustments as needed to maximize clinic capacity and patient access.
- Follow up on patients referred to external specialists or healthcare providers, including confirming consultations have been completed, requesting outstanding reports, and ensuring relevant documentation is received and added to the patient’s electronic medical record for physician review
- Contact patients regarding appointments, follow up requirements, outstanding care items schedule changes, or other clinic related matters while documenting relevant communication appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and utilize the EMR and other company systems to manage appointments, follow-ups, referrals, and clinic documentation.
- Communicate and collaborate with physicians, clinic staff and other departments regarding scheduling concerns, urgent patients, referrals, outstanding follow-ups, and other patient care needs
- Support efficient clinic operations by identifying workflow or scheduling concerns, taking initiative to resolve issues where appropriate, and escalating matters when necessary.
- Participate in Team huddles, clinic meetings, and other team discussions as required.
- Provide professional compassionate and patient focused communication while supporting continuity of care and timely access to ocular healthcare.
- Perform other clinic support and administrative duties as assigned.
Your demonstrated skills:

- Proficiency in the use of personal computers and related technology.

- Proven good attendance record.
What your background is:
- Demonstrated excellent customer/patient service.
- 2+ years of experience, ideally healthcare industry, or other patient care setting.
- Experience in an ophthalmological or optometric setting is valuable but not required.
- Experience in creating and faxing Consultation Reports
- High School Graduate, Office Administration Certificate an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, EMR experience)
- Legally able to work in Canada.
Job Type: Full time
Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour
