About the Position
Hawes Health operates a growing network of primary care clinics across Ontario. We are hiring a full-time Clinic Manager / Receptionist & Marketing Coordinator to work from our Ottawa head office.
This is a broad position combining clinic management, marketing, social media and content creation, executive and administrative support, patient coordination, and general business support.
The person hired will help coordinate the day-to-day operation of Hawes Health clinics, communicate with patients, pharmacies, vendors and business partners, work closely with company leadership, manage Hawes Health's marketing and social media presence, create and appear in social media content, and assist with the ongoing opening of new clinic locations across Ontario.
The position is specifically designed for someone looking to build a long-term career with a growing company and progress toward senior management, executive, or director-level responsibilities over time.
No previous healthcare experience is required.
No degree is required.
We are significantly more interested in character, work ethic, communication ability, initiative, reliability, judgment, and willingness to learn than formal education or previous job titles.
Everything specific to Hawes Health can be taught.
Compensation & Guaranteed Raises
This position includes guaranteed pay increases after one and two years of employment:
· Starting: $25.00/hour
· After 1 year: Guaranteed raise to $30.00/hour
· After 2 years: Guaranteed raise to $35.00/hour
These are guaranteed raises and are not discretionary performance increases.
At 40 hours per week, this is equivalent to approximately:
· Starting: $52,000/year
· After 1 year: $62,400/year
· After 2 years: $72,800/year The $35.00/hour rate after two years is not a compensation ceiling. Additional raises and promotions can occur as the employee takes on more senior responsibilities.
Paid Time Off The position includes 24 paid days off per year:
· 10 paid vacation days
· 5 paid sick days
· 9 paid holidays
After two years of employment, paid vacation increases to 15 days / 3 weeks.
What You'll DoClinic & Patient Support
· Help coordinate the day-to-day non-clinical operation of Hawes Health clinics and support patients with routine administrative needs.
· Communicate with patients, pharmacy partners, vendors, and clinic staff to keep operations running smoothly.
· Help ensure clinics have the supplies, equipment, materials, and operational support they require.
Marketing & Social Media
· Manage Hawes Health's corporate social media accounts as well as individual accounts for clinic locations.
· Create and appear in regular social media content, including short-form videos, photos, clinic content, educational content, and promotional material.
· Promote Hawes Health through local online communities, business partnerships, community outreach, and other local marketing opportunities.
· Help build awareness and patient registrations around both existing clinics and new clinic openings.
New Clinic Openings
Hawes Health routinely opens new clinic locations throughout Ontario.
· Help coordinate the operational setup of current clinics, including vendors, equipment, supplies, deliveries, and installation timelines.
· Work with pharmacy partners and other parties involved in getting each clinic ready to open.
· Support the local marketing and social media activity surrounding each new clinic opening.
Executive & Administrative Support
· Work closely with company leadership and assist with scheduling, communications, follow-ups, meetings, research, and general administrative tasks.
· Coordinate with pharmacies, vendors, partners, and other outside parties on behalf of Hawes Health.
· Keep track of assigned tasks and projects and follow them through to completion.
Who We're Looking For
No previous experience is required.
No college or university degree is required.
Previous experience is certainly welcome, but the most important factors are character, work ethic, reliability, communication skills, organization, initiative, creativity, and willingness to learn.
A strong candidate will be:

· Strong written and oral communication skills.
· Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
· Confident approaching and speaking with new people.
· Interested in marketing, social media, and content creation.
· Comfortable regularly appearing in photos and videos.
· Resourceful, dependable, and comfortable taking initiative.
· Someone looking for a long-term career with increasing responsibility and advancement opportunities.
Previous experience in administration, reception, customer service, marketing, social media, healthcare, executive assistance, or similar roles is considered an asset but is not required.
Language
Strong written and spoken English is required.
French is an asset but is not required. Applicants who speak only English are strongly encouraged to apply.
Location & Travel
This is a full-time, in-person position based at the Hawes Health head office in Ottawa.
Hawes Health operates clinic locations throughout Ontario. Occasional visits to other Hawes Health clinic locations may be required for operations, marketing, content creation, and recent clinic openings.
A valid driver's license is required but ownership of a vehicle is not required.
Hours & Schedule
This is a 40-hour-per-week position.
There is schedule flexibility, but working hours must fall within Hawes Health head-office operating hours:
Sunday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Monday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM Thursday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM Friday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM Saturday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

This position is intended for someone looking to build a long-term career and progressively take on more responsibility over time.
The role provides exposure to clinic operations, marketing, patient support, administration, partnerships, and executive-level business activities. As the employee gains experience and demonstrates strong judgment, reliability, and leadership ability, they will have opportunities to take ownership of larger projects, supervise other staff, and move into more senior management responsibilities.
The long-term career path can extend to senior management, executive, and director-level positions for someone who consistently performs at a high level and demonstrates the ability to lead.
