Commissary Connect runs shared commercial kitchens in Vancouver. Local food businesses rent kitchen time with us to make the food you'll find at markets, cafés and on grocery shelves. We're proud to support them, and we want to give them a clean, safe space to work in. That's where you come in.
The role
We're looking for a part-time evening cleaner to keep our kitchens in great shape. You'll work 3–4 evening shifts a week, up to about 20 hours. Hours may vary week to week.
Each shift is at one of our four Vancouver facilities, rotated according to the schedule:
- 1605 West 5th Ave
- 401 Industrial Ave
- 417 Industrial Ave (same parking lot as 401)
- #107-8811 Laurel Street
What you'll do
- Clean and sanitize floors, prep surfaces, sinks and dish areas
- Take out garbage, recycling and compost
- Restock cleaning supplies
- Count and record inventory
- Report anything broken, damaged or unsafe
- Leave each kitchen ready for our members the next morning
What we're looking for
- Self-sufficient and reliable. You'll often be working on your own.
- A sharp eye for detail
- Willingness to speak up when something isn't right
- Reliable transportation to our Vancouver locations
- Experience cleaning industrial or commercial kitchens is a plus, but not required
What we offer
- $20.00–$21.00 per hour
