Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Companion/Caregiver to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing the quality of life for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those receiving hospice or home care. You will work closely with clients to deliver personalized care that fosters comfort, dignity, and well-being. Selected candidates must have their own vehicle to travel to and from the patients' places of residence.

Duties

- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
- Provide engaging companionship through conversation, recreational activities, and emotional support to reduce loneliness and improve mental health
- Ensure timely reminders for treatments or appointments
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and welcoming environment




- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques using proper lifting methods to ensure safety for both client and caregiver
- Monitor health status by observing changes in physical or emotional condition and report findings to healthcare professionals promptly

Requirements

- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care settings preferred
- Strong background in patient care, senior care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for mobility assistance or household tasks
- Knowledge of safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills with a caring attitude towards clients’ needs
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, nights or weekends if needed
- Certification in caregiving or relevant training is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is highly valued

Pay: $16.11-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
