Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and subcontractors to develop competitive bids. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive construction cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and scope of work.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed bid proposals.
- Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and analyze pricing data to ensure accurate cost projections.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate terms that benefit the project.
- Assist in the selection of subcontractors and vendors based on cost, quality, and schedule considerations.




- Review project schedules and coordinate with project management teams to align estimates with project timelines.
- Maintain organized records of all estimating activities, including bid documentation, correspondence, and revisions.

Skills

- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Solid negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms with vendors and subcontractors.
- Excellent project management abilities to coordinate multiple bids simultaneously.
- Deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and analyze complex pricing data accurately.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders across projects.
- Prior experience in heavy civil or commercial construction is highly preferred.
