Job Title: Siding Installer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Siding Installer to join our exterior construction crew. In this role, you will prepare wall surfaces, apply weather barriers, and install a variety of exterior siding materials (vinyl, fiber cement, wood, metal, composite) on residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate has experience using hand and power tools, feels comfortable working on scaffolding or high ladders, and takes pride in delivering exact, weather-tight craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

- Surface Preparation: Inspect exterior surfaces, repair damaged sheathing, install house wrap/weather-resistant barriers (WRB), flashing, and rigid foam insulation.
- Measurement & Cutting: Measure wall areas accurately and cut siding panels, corner posts, and trim to exact specifications using miter saws, shears, utility knives, and metal brake machines.
- Siding Installation: Install vinyl, Hardie board/fiber cement, cedar, or aluminum siding panels according to manufacturer instructions and local building codes.
- Finishing & Detail Work: Fit and seal trim around windows, doors, soffits, fascia, corners, and rooflines to ensure a clean aesthetic and moisture-proof seal.
- Repair & Restoration: Remove damaged siding materials,



inspect underlying structures for rot or water damage, and perform seamless repairs.
- Safety & Job Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, secure job site, properly erect scaffolding/ladders, wear required PPE, and safely operate equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in exterior carpentry, siding installation, or general construction.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with power saws, pneumatic nail guns, metal brakes, tape measures, and levels.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand/kneel for extended periods, and work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Working at Heights: Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and staging equipment in compliance with safety standards.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites preferred.

- Practical understanding of building envelope principles, moisture management, and flashing techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently within a crew and take direction from job site supervisors.
