About Legends Haul
Legends Haul is a Vancouver-based food manufacturer, distributor and protein innovator serving thousands of British Columbia’s leading restaurants, retailers, hotels, caterers and foodservice operators.
Founded in 2018, the business has grown from a local startup into a vertically integrated food company built around premium products, practical service and meaningful partnerships across the food ecosystem.
From our SQF Certified, 45,000sf Vancouver facility, we manufacture, source and distribute products that help our customers succeed while supporting local producers and communities.
Our core expertise is sustainably sourced centre-of-the-plate proteins, value-added meat manufacturing, wholesale distribution and premium foodservice solutions. Alongside our distribution business, Legends Haul continues to grow proprietary brands and product platforms, including Chateau Water, WOOZA pizzas and other customer-focused innovations.
At Legends Haul, we believe food has the power to connect people, strengthen communities and create a better future. Through innovation, craftsmanship and a relentless commitment to quality, we are helping shape the future of food—one meal at a time.
Role Summary The Content Manager is a hands-on creative and brand-content role responsible for bringing Legends Haul’s products, customers, people and emerging direct-to-consumer platform to life through high-quality photography, video and digital content.
This position will report to the CEO and work in close partnership with the Director, Brand and Marketing, supporting both the established wholesale business and the continued build-out of Legends Haul’s direct-to-consumer, e-commerce and premium retail channels.
The role will have a strong emphasis on creating the content itself. The successful candidate will be comfortable planning a shoot, operating a camera, directing subjects, capturing food and product imagery, editing photo and video, preparing digital assets and getting into the market to tell meaningful customer and brand stories.
On the wholesale side, the Content Manager will work closely with Sales, Business Development, customers, chefs and partners to create content that strengthens relationships, showcases products and reinforces the Legends Haul brand in the market.
On the direct-to-consumer side, the role will become deeply involved in the development of e-commerce, retail, product launches, merchandising, campaigns and consumer storytelling as the channel grows.
This is not primarily a social-media-management position. Social platforms are key distribution channels, but the core mandate is to consistently create strong, commercially useful content that can be deployed across wholesale, retail, e-commerce, email, websites, sales tools, events, point-of-sale materials and social media.
The position is based from the East Vancouver office and will require regular hands-on work throughout the facility and in the market at restaurants, retail locations, events, supplier locations and other customer or partner environments.
You Are This Person
You are a hands-on content creator who is energized by food, products, people and real-world environments.
You can walk into a restaurant kitchen, production room, customer event, retail store or product shoot, identify the story and turn it into compelling photo and video content.
You understand that strong content begins with the commercial objective. You ask what we are trying to communicate, who the audience is and what action or impression the content should create before deciding how to shoot it.
You are equally comfortable behind a camera and at an editing desk. You can move quickly from concept to capture to finished asset without requiring an outside agency for everyday execution.
You understand food presentation and have a strong visual eye for product, lighting, composition, environments, people and brand consistency.
You can collaborate with the CEO and Director, Brand and Marketing on creative direction while independently owning the practical work required to execute it.
You enjoy working directly with salespeople, chefs, customers, suppliers, production employees and retail teams and can make people feel comfortable in front of a camera.
You are organized enough to maintain a useful content calendar and asset library without allowing process to become more important than creating content.
You understand digital commerce and know that product photography, video, education, storytelling and merchandising content directly influence how a consumer experiences and buys a product online.
You are curious, resourceful and willing to experiment. You can capture polished hero content when required and authentic, fast-moving content when the opportunity calls for it.
You take ownership, follow through and are comfortable operating in a growing business where priorities can move quickly.

- Basic graphic-design capability and experience with layout, typography or simple motion graphics is an asset
- Ability to interpret basic content, campaign and e-commerce performance data and apply the learning to future creative work
- Clear written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills when working with customers, chefs, suppliers and internal teams
- High ownership, sound judgment, resourcefulness and a consistent record of follow-through
- Clean, polished and professional personal presentation appropriate for food environments, customer locations and brand-facing events

- Post-secondary education in photography, film, media, marketing, communications, design or a related discipline is an asset; an exceptional portfolio and comparable practical experience will be considered

- E-commerce or retail content producer experienced in product imagery, launches and digital merchandising
