We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and experienced Cook with knowledge of Thai or Asian cuisine to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment at Kiin! A Cook at Kiin transforms high-quality, unique ingredients into Royal Thai-inspired dishes through preparing, cooking and plating food in our open kitchen. Kiin’s goal is to accelerate our business development by providing customers with a memorable experience, which begins with our food.

Schedule: 5 shifts/week; 1 pm start time. Wednesday through Sunday.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00/hour plus weekly tips

Overview of Responsibilities

- Prepare, pre-cook, and/or cook food products as directed.
- Prepare "mise en place" (setting in place of foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, etc) and other products as required for highly detailed production.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, wok burners, counters and fridge.




- Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Label, date, store, and rotate food products in appropriate storage areas.
- Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
- Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications:

- Proven cooking experience, including restaurant or prep cook experience
- A certificate from a recognized cooking school is an asset
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Knife skills
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and high standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Food Handlers Certificate Required

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
