Position Summary

Based out of Mississauga, the Coordinator, Development supports the deliver of Crombie REIT’s national development program across grocery-anchored retail, retail-related industrial and mixed-use residential properties. Working along side the Development Team,



the Coordinator helps move projects through the full development lifecycle (from due diligence and municipal approvals through construction and project close-out/handover), coordinating consultants and external partners, maintaining project budgets, schedules and records, and preparing the analysis and reporting necessary to support development decision-making. This role offers broad exposure to Crombie’s development pipeline across Canada and is a strong foundation for growth within the Development Team.

Additional duties of the Coordinator, Development include but are not limited to:

Project & Development Support

- Supports Development Team across the project lifecycle – from due diligence and concept through entitlement, construction and close-out/handover – tracking deliverables, action items and deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.
- Assists with due diligence and feasibility work on potential development and redevelopment opportunities, including general research, review of official plans, zoning by-laws and municipal policy, and site and title information.
- Supports the preparation and submission of development applications and permits (e.g., official plan and zoning by-law amendments, site plan approval, subdivision and severance, building permits), and tracks application status and municipal comments.
- Maintains project schedules and milestone trackers, flagging slippage and upcoming deliverables to the project team.
- Assists in the review of consultant drawings, reports and proposals for completeness and consistency, and circulates them for team comment.
- Coordinates project, consultant and joint venture partner meetings, including preparing agendas and recording minutes and action items, and attends site visits, municipal pre-consultation and community meetings as required.
- Prepares project materials, presentations and reporting intended for internal and external circulation.
- Initiates and directs project budget set-up and maintenance in Yardi Voyager – including budgets, contracts, purchase orders and change orders – providing the direction and supporting documentation required.
- Sets up and maintains project files and records in SharePoint.

Coordination & Relationships

- Assists with day-to-day coordination with consultants, contractors, municipal staff and other external parties, tracking outstanding items and following up to keep projects moving.
- Requests consultant fee proposals,



compiles submissions and prepares comparison summaries for review.
- Coordinates with other departments, including Construction, Leasing, Operations, Legal and Finance, to keep project information current and aligned across teams.
- Cultivates strong working relationships internally across all departments, as well as with external partners and stakeholders.
- Engages across all levels of the organization to create and promote a safe and respectful work environment.
- Other special tasks and projects as assigned.

Compensation We are committed to offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive total rewards package. Base salary/hourly rate is thoughtfully determined based on a range of factors, including location, role scope and level, relevant education and training, experience, skills, and qualifications, while ensuring internal equity and alignment with market data.

Expected salary range: CAD $57,900 - $78,300 per annum.

The profile we are looking for

- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in real estate development, land development, construction, planning, project coordination, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated ability to support development and construction projects through all stages, including project setup, due diligence, contract administration, budget tracking, and project close-out/handover activities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, municipalities, and internal business partners while maintaining positive and professional relationships.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and enterprise software applications, with the ability to create professional reports, presentations, and analytical summaries.
- Ability to review and interpret site plans and architectural and engineering drawings at a working level.
