The Timmins Native Friendship
Centre is seeking a dedicated Program Worker for its Akwe:go At Risk and High Risk initiatives. This role includes developing holistic programming, engaging in community outreach, and providing individualized support for urban Indigenous youth. Your efforts will enhance self-identity and cultural connections for participants in a supportive atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all Akwe:go program activities
- Deliver one-to-one support and action planning
- Facilitate cultural teachings and leadership workshops
- Engage families through family-based programming
- Maintain accurate participant records and activity outcomes Requirements:
- Post-secondary diploma in relevant fields
- Experience with urban Indigenous children and families
- Robust organizational and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle access
- First Aid/CPR and Food Handler’s Certificate Support Indigenous youth in Timmins and help build a positive community through your program work.
