About Northern Lights Dental Clinic
Northern Lights Dental Clinic is a family-focused dental practice in Greater Sudbury committed to providing exceptional dental care in a welcoming, professional, and comfortable environment.We are looking for an experienced, friendly, and organized Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.The successful candidate will be an important part of our front-office team, helping patients have a positive experience from their first phone call through treatment completion.
Responsibilities Reception & Front Office
- Welcome patients in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
- Manage the daily appointment schedule efficiently.
- Handle patient check-in and check-out.
- Process payments and provide receipts.
- Assist with dental insurance claims, predeterminations, and insurance inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Manage recalls and follow up with patients as required.
- Communicate effectively with dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and other team members.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Supporting the clinical and administrative teams as required
Treatment Coordination
- Present and explain recommended treatment plans to patients in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Help patients understand their recommended dental treatment and treatment sequence.
- Discuss treatment fees, insurance coverage, and available payment options.
- Assist patients with scheduling appointments for recommended treatment.
- Follow up with patients who have outstanding or unscheduled treatment.
- Build trusting relationships with patients and help them feel comfortable with their treatment decisions.
- Coordinate closely with the dentist and clinical team regarding treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate treatment and financial information in the practice management system.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the patient's treatment journey.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of dental office experience required.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist, treatment coordinator, or dental administrator is preferred.
- Experience with Dentrix is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and dental office procedures.
- Experience with dental insurance and treatment coordination is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy dental office.
