About the Position

Greek Islands Restaurant is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and organized Dishwasher to support the kitchen team and maintain a clean and efficient restaurant setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for washing dishes and kitchen equipment, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting with general kitchen cleaning and support duties.

Key Responsibilities

- Wash and sanitize dishes, plates, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate the commercial dishwasher and follow proper cleaning procedures.
- Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation tasks.
- Remove garbage and recycling from kitchen and service areas.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors and maintain general cleanliness.
- Clean sinks, counters, shelves, and other kitchen surfaces.
- Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Restock cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies when required.




- Support cooks and other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Complete opening and closing cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Previous dishwasher or restaurant experience is an asset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies when required.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow restaurant procedures.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 34.0 per week
