We’ll help you work with your local dealer to pick up a truck (https://www.westerntruckbody.com/truck-body-shop-edmonton) or van from our stock, or on-order inventory (https://www.westerntruckbody.com/truck-bodies-red-deer) and pair it with a service body (https://www.westerntruckbody.com/auto-body-edmonton), deck, crane (https://www.westerntruckbody.com/picker-trucks-edmonton), air compressor, power tailgate, waste oil pump or hose reel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble doors, parts, and components as outlined in daily specifications The ability to Weld/assemble different steel or aluminum parts
Measure inserts and cut to specification for insertion
Performs visual quality inspections on all completed work. Checks manufactured items for deficiencies.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools, i.e., drills, nail guns, grinders, polishers, saws, etc.
Installation of doors onto service truck bodies
Produce quality products while maintaining the required production and safety standards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma
Must have basic welding skills
Previous experience as a door manufacturer is an asset
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
Adaptable and willing to learn
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Ability to use power tools
Ability to lift heavy and stand for long periods of time
