Surveyor at James Smith Community

Job Summary The East Central First Nation Education Authority (ECFNEA) is requiring six Community

Surveyors to perform survey work in the community. These positions are for three weeks. In this role, you will represent ECFNEA and Bernard Constant Community

School (BCCS). Surveyors will connect with community members and Elders to share information about initiatives and collect valuable feedback through structured surveys.

Duties and Responsibilities

Direct Outreach

Visit designated neighbourhoods going door-to-door to engage residents in face-to-face conversations.

Surveyors

Administer community surveys accurately, neutrally, and confidentially, recording responses by hand using provided paper clipboards and surveys.

Public Relations

Deliver the organization's core message clearly, politely, and enthusiastically to all community members.

Data Management

Keep precise, highly legible written logs of houses visited, surveys completed, and materials distributed.

Qualifications and Abilities and Skills The following qualifications, abilities and skills are required to perform the function of a community surveyor:





Communication Skills

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Organization and Detail

Ability to follow paper-based tracking systems and maintain neat, legible handwriting for data entry.

Reliability

Solid time-management skills, punctuality, and the ability to work independently in the field.

The ability to speak or understand Cree is an asset.
