Maintenance Technician required

Must have3 years experience as certified Journeyman Electrician. Previous experience as service technician / plant Maintenance is an asset.

Candidate must be self-motivated, self-starter and a quick learner. Possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Candidate must possess a valid driver’s licence, able to work unsupervised and have a adaptable work schedule.

Job requirements:

Ability to work safely with established company safety policies

Able to answer after hours on call work.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize high work loads

Able to trouble shoot automated control systems (PLC)

Experience with variable frequency drives an asset

Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Must be Professional, approachable and customer-service orientated

Must possess strong technical and organizational skills

Experience in calibration and preventative maintenance of plant instrumentation and electrical equipment an asset.





Experience in updating plant record drawings and maintaining work logs.

Specific Experience in

Conduit Installation, EMT Rigid Gal/Al and PVC

Cable Tray installation

Installation and Troubleshooting of VFD's, PLC's and other associated equipment.

Installation of Electrical Distribution Systems

Experience in conveyor systems an asset

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 50 pounds.

Ability to spend long periods of time walking and standing.

Requirement to wear a SCBA (must be clean shaven) in emergency situations

Occasionally required to work in elevated places (loading platforms).

Personal Safety and responsibility to watch out for the safety of colleagues is a job requirement.
