Job Summary

Duties

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as Math, English, and early childhood education.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, curiosity, and respect among students.
- Assess student progress regularly through observations, assignments, and assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Incorporate bilingual instruction when applicable, especially in English and French, to promote language development for diverse learners.
- Use technology tools such as Microsoft Office and other computer skills to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, special education staff, and parents to support students with disabilities or additional learning needs.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and time management skills to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.

- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, manage classroom activities, and track student progress efficiently.
- Experience working with children in classroom settings or early childhood education environments.
- Knowledge of teaching methods for students with special needs or disabilities; experience in special education is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and general computer skills for lesson planning and administrative tasks.
- Effective tutoring techniques to support individual student learning outside regular class hours.
- Exceptional writing skills for creating clear instructional materials and reports; ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
