Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Esthetician role based at The Waters – An Urban Spa Retreat in Waterloo, ON. The Esthetician is responsible for providing professional skin care services, including facials, peels, and customized treatments aligned with spa standards and protocols.

Day-to-day tasks include performing hair removal services, advising guests on appropriate skin care regimens and products, and ensuring a clean, safe, and relaxing treatment environment. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service, explaining services and benefits, and recommending retail products to support guests’ home care routines. The Esthetician collaborates with the spa team, manages appointment timing,



maintains accurate treatment notes, and participates in ongoing training to refine techniques and stay current with industry trends.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Skin Care and Cosmetology skills, including knowledge of facial treatments, product ingredients, and basic dermatological concepts.
- Candidates should possess Hair Removal skills, such as waxing, sugaring, and other safe, hygienic epilation techniques.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, with the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and create a welcoming, professional spa experience.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills, including comfort with recommending treatments and retail products aligned with guest needs and spa standards.
- Relevant qualifications include completion of an accredited Esthetics or Cosmetology program and eligibility for any required provincial licenses or certifications.
- Additional beneficial skills include strong communication, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented spa workplace.
- Experience in spa, wellness, or hospitality settings and an interest in ongoing professional development are considered assets.
