Westside604 in Mission BC is looking for an experienced, highly skilled and dependable autobody qualified to join our small, established shop.

Our current shop lead is leaving the team, and we are looking for the right person to step into an important role within our shop. This is not an entry-level position and we are not looking for someone who still needs to be taught the trade. We need someone with solid hands-on experience who takes pride in their work, knows their way around a vehicle, and can be trusted to get the job done properly.

Reliability is extremely important in this role. We are a small shop, which means every member of our team matters and we need someone we can genuinely count on. Showing up consistently, being on time, communicating and following through on commitments are just as important to us as the quality of your work.

What you need to bring

Previous professional autobody experience is required.

You must be confident and skilled in:

- Bodywork
- Prep work
- Polishing and finishing
- Working independently from start to finish
- Working alongside a small team when the job requires it
- Producing quality work without needing constant direction or supervision
- Being dependable, punctual and accountable for your work

Experience with vehicle restoration and/or mechanical work is a major asset. We work on a wide variety of vehicles and projects, so versatility matters. Some jobs are straightforward body and paint work; others require considerably more skill, problem-solving and attention to detail.

The role can be built around the right person

Our standard schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch,



but we know experienced tradespeople aren't necessarily looking for the traditional five-day grind.

For the right candidate, we're open to:

- A standard Monday–Friday schedule
- Four 10-hour days
- A reduced 32-hour work week
- Employee or contractor arrangements

There is no required evening or weekend work. If you want additional hours and work is available, evenings or weekends may be an option — but they are not an expectation.

Compensation

$30–$60/hour

Pay will be determined by your actual experience and skill level. We aren't going to advertise a high number and then pretend everyone starts at the bottom of the range. If you bring the experience, versatility and quality of work we're looking for, we are prepared to pay accordingly.
