Experienced Dog Groomer – Part-Time, Opportunity for Full-Time

Urban Dog Spaw is looking for an experienced professional dog groomer to join our team on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position as their schedule and clientele grow.

We are a busy, locally owned grooming salon with an established clientele and a strong focus on quality grooming, client care, teamwork, and the safety and comfort of the dogs in our care.

What We’re Looking For The right candidate:

- Has professional dog grooming experience and can confidently groom dogs from start to finish
- Has strong scissoring, finishing, and blending skills
- Is comfortable working with a variety of breeds, coat types, and sizes
- Understands dog behaviour and uses safe, calm, and appropriate handling techniques
- Takes pride in producing quality work and pays close attention to detail
- Communicates professionally and effectively with clients and coworkers




- Works well as part of a team and is respectful of shared salon spaces and equipment
- Is dependable, punctual, and able to manage their grooming schedule efficiently
- Has their own basic professional grooming tools, including clippers, blades, and shears

Applicants must have professional grooming experience and/or formal grooming training. We are not currently hiring grooming trainees.

Schedule

Our salon is currently open:

Monday: 12:00 PM–8:00 PM

Tuesday–Saturday: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM

We are currently hiring for a part-time position with the potential to grow into full-time. Days and hours have some flexibility and can be discussed to find the right fit for both the groomer and the salon.

Compensation

50% commission on grooming services + 100% of tips

Earning potential will depend on the groomer’s schedule, number of appointments, services performed, and clientele.
