Porter Office Services is looking for an experienced Commercial Glazier / Glass Wall Installer for commercial interior projects throughout Metro Vancouver.

If you have experience installing commercial glass partitions, storefront glass, aluminum framing, glass doors, or interior glass systems, we would like to hear from you.

Experience with DIRTT, Falkbuilt, Teknion, or other architectural wall systems is a strong asset, but it is not required. We are open to experienced glaziers with strong commercial glass installation skills who are interested in working with architectural wall systems.

Responsibilities

- Install commercial glass walls and office glass partitions
- Install framed and frameless glass panels
- Install aluminum tracks, frames, and related components
- Install and adjust glass doors, hinges, closers, and hardware
- Measure and lay out installations from drawings
- Read shop drawings, floor plans, and elevations
- Safely handle large and heavy glass panels
- Complete silicone, sealing, and finishing work where required
- Troubleshoot and correct installation deficiencies
- Work with architectural wall systems including DIRTT, Falkbuilt, Teknion, and similar systems




- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow company and site-specific safety requirements

Skills and Qualifications
- Previous commercial glazing or glass installation experience
- Experience with commercial glass doors and hardware
- Ability to accurately measure and complete layouts
- Ability to read construction drawings and shop drawings
- Comfortable using lasers, levels, hand tools, and power tools
- Strong understanding of safe glass-handling practices
- Reliable, punctual, and qualified
- Able to work independently and as part of a crew

Experience with DIRTT, Falkbuilt, Teknion, Steelcase, Maars, Haworth, or similar architectural wall systems is an asset.

Lead installer or crew lead experience is also considered an asset.

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience, skill level, and ability to work independently or lead installations.

Employee and independent contractor opportunities may be available depending on experience and the working arrangement.

Pay: $34.00-$45.00 per hour
