Duties

- Provide expert legal counsel to clients on all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, visitation rights, and spousal support
- Conduct thorough research using legal databases such as LexisNexis to stay current on relevant laws and precedents
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and court filings with precision and clarity
- Negotiate settlements between parties to achieve mutually beneficial resolutions while maintaining a client-focused approach
- Represent clients effectively in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations with strong advocacy skills




- Maintain detailed case files and documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines
- Stay informed about legislative changes affecting family law to provide accurate advice and strategic guidance

Experience

- Proven experience practicing family law with a strong understanding of relevant statutes and court procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal research tools like LexisNexis for case preparation and legal analysis
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to facilitate amicable resolutions or advocate vigorously in court when necessary
- Strong writing skills for drafting clear, concise legal documents that withstand scrutiny
- Skilled in legal drafting techniques tailored to family law cases, including agreements and pleadings
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
