CANDORA is a community-based organization in Northeast Edmonton, focused on creating positive changes through community development. ABOUT THE ROLE The CANDORA Society of Edmonton is seeking a community-oriented and collaborative Family Wellness Facilitator for a permanent, part time position (21 hours per week).

The Family Wellness Facilitator provides family wellness programming, parent education, intensive family support, community connection, and resource navigation for families with children ages 0–18 in Northeast Edmonton.

The position combines group facilitation with individualized, strengths-based support for families experiencing complex needs or barriers. Working as part of CANDORA's wrap-around service model, the Facilitator helps families strengthen relationships, build capacity, navigate systems, access resources, and work toward greater family stability and wellness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Family Wellness & Parent Education

· Plan, coordinate, and facilitate parent education and family wellness programs, including evidence-based programs such as Nobody's Perfect, Triple P, Circle of Security Parenting, Connect Parent Group, Neurodivergent Parenting Coffee Chat, and Wellness Compass.

· Incorporate relevant family-development frameworks, including the 40 Developmental Assets and Circle of Security, into programming and support.

· Support families in building practical skills related to parenting, relationships, child development, wellness, stress reduction, and healthy family functioning.

· Develop and deliver culturally responsive programming in collaboration with CANDORA staff and community partners, and participate in outreach and family engagement activities.

Intensive Family Support

· Provide individualized,



strengths-based support to families experiencing complex or multiple needs, including intake, assessment, goal setting, and ongoing follow-up.

· Provide practical support, advocacy, problem-solving, resource navigation, and connections to CANDORA programs and external community services.

· Help families identify and build on their strengths, natural supports, cultural connections, and community resources.

· Work collaboratively with FCRWs, CANDORA staff, and partner agencies to coordinate responsive, wrap-around family support.

· Maintain trusting professional relationships, appropriate boundaries, confidentiality, and accurate documentation of family support, referrals, follow-up, and program participation.

Documentation, Evaluation & Program Development

· Maintain accurate and timely participant and program records and assist with reporting, outcome tracking, and program evaluation.

· Contribute feedback on program effectiveness, emerging family needs, and community priorities, while supporting culturally responsive and accessible service delivery.

Team Collaboration & Professional Development

· Participate in team meetings, case consultation, planning, collaborative problem-solving, and relevant professional development.

· Remain current with relevant practices in family support, child development, trauma-informed practice, crisis intervention, parenting, and community-based services.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

· Experience facilitating family, parenting, or community-based programs and/or providing casework or individualized family support.

· Strong facilitation,



relationship-building, crisis intervention, and problem-solving skills.

· Experience supporting individuals and families experiencing complex circumstances and connecting them with appropriate community resources and services.

· Training and certification to facilitate one or more of the following programs is an asset, but not required: Connect Parent Group, Circle of Security Parenting, Triple P, and Nobody’s Perfect.

· Familiarity with neurodivergent parenting and supporting parents or caregivers of neurodivergent children is an asset.

· Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.

· Knowledge of family-centred, strengths-based, relationship-based, and trauma-informed approaches.

· Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and with families experiencing barriers or vulnerability.

· Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and teamwork skills.

· Clear Child and Youth Intervention Check, Criminal Record Check, and Driver’s Abstract, with access to a vehicle.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Employment Type: Permanent, part time position, 21 hours per week

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work as required.

Working Conditions

· The position works in office and community settings and directly with children, parents, caregivers, and families, including people experiencing complex circumstances or crises.

· Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to respond appropriately to changing family and community needs are required.
