Wizard Lake Marine Kelowna is a premium tow-boat dealership known for exceptional customer experience, technical expertise, and a team-oriented culture. We support some of the top brands in the world and operate a high-paced, process-driven service department built on communication, accuracy, and efficiency.We are currently looking for a Fiberglass / Gel Coat Service Writer to join our Service Department.

This position is responsible for coordinating fiberglass and gel coat repair work from the initial customer conversation through to completion. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, comfortable assessing repair needs, and able to keep customers and technicians informed throughout the repair process.

Experience in the marine industry, fiberglass repair, collision repair, automotive service, or a similar service environment would be an asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers and assist with fiberglass and gelcoat service inquiries
- Assess and document visible boat damage and customer concerns
- Prepare repair estimates and quotes based on required labour, materials, and parts
- Create and maintain accurate work orders for fiberglass and gelcoat repairs
- Schedule repair work and coordinate jobs with fiberglass technicians and the Service Department
- Communicate repair timelines, estimates, approvals, and progress updates with customers
- Review completed repairs and ensure work orders are accurate before closing
- Coordinate customer boat drop-off and pick-up
- Assist with manufacturer warranty claims and required documentation as directed by the Service Manager
- Maintain detailed records, including repair notes, photos, customer approvals, and completed work
- Work with the Parts and Service teams to ensure required materials and components are available
- Collect payment and complete service paperwork when repairs are finished
- Help maintain an organized,



professional, and customer-ready service environment
- Complete other service and administrative duties as required

What We're Looking For

- Previous Service Writer, Service Advisor, estimator, or customer service experience is preferred
- Marine industry experience is considered a solid asset
- Knowledge of fiberglass and gelcoat repair is an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prepare clear, accurate estimates and explain recommended repairs to customers
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple repair jobs and priorities at the same time
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with technicians and customers
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dealership service systems
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
- A valid driver's licence is required
