IntelliStaff is building a roster of Intermediate and Junior Finance & Audit Consultants for potential public-sector consulting opportunities in Nunavut.

This opportunity is suited to accounting, finance and audit professionals interested in supporting financial reporting, internal audit, compliance and related projects.

Responsibilities

- Prepare financial analyses, spreadsheets and working papers
- Assist with financial statement preparation
- Prepare or support journal entries and reconciliations
- Organize financial and operational information
- Conduct audit testing and document results
- Gather and review supporting documentation
- Assist with internal control and compliance reviews
- Perform accounting and audit research
- Maintain organized project and audit files
- Assist with preparation of findings and reports
- Support senior consultants and project leads

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance,



Business, Commerce or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience
- Accounting, financial reporting, audit or financial analysis experience
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- CPA candidate or progress toward another relevant professional designation is an asset
- Government or public-sector experience is preferred
- Nunavut or northern Canadian experience is an asset
