Position Overview

Trinity Energy Group is seeking a reliable and motivated Firestopping Labourer to join our growing Firestopping Division. The successful candidate will assist with the installation of firestopping systems on commercial construction projects, helping maintain the fire-resistance ratings of walls, floors, ceilings, and other building assemblies.

This position is well suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing a job correctly, and is interested in developing a career in the construction industry. Previous firestopping or construction experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the installation of firestopping systems in accordance with approved specifications, manufacturer instructions, and project requirements.
- Prepare surfaces and openings before installation, including cleaning, masking, and general site preparation.
- Assist with installing firestop sealants, mineral wool, collars, wraps, and other approved firestopping materials.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and foremen to ensure work is completed safely and correctly.




- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Handle materials, tools, and equipment appropriately.
- Follow all company safety procedures and site-specific requirements.
- Work collaboratively with crew members and other construction trades.
- Complete additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Previous construction, labour, insulation, or firestopping experience is considered an asset.
- Willingness to learn specialized firestopping installation methods and procedures.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting materials, standing for extended periods, and working from ladders or lifts when trained and authorized.
- Willingness to work on active commercial construction sites and travel to project locations as required.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are considered assets.
- Construction safety certificates (Fall protections, Lift Training, First Aid) are considered assets.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
