Holy Taco is a growing authentic Mexican food business specializing in traditional birria and high-quality Mexican cuisine. We operate a food truck, catering service, and restaurant, serving guests at festivals, weddings, corporate events, and community gatherings across the Lower Mainland.

We are currently looking for a dedicated, experienced, and passionate Cook to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who loves cooking, takes pride in authentic food preparation, and is ready to take on a leadership role in the kitchen. The successful candidate will not only prepare food but will also help ensure that every dish is made according to Holy Taco’s recipes, standards, and procedures.

What You Will Do Cooking & Food Preparation

- Prepare and cook all Holy Taco menu items according to our recipes and standards.
- Cook our signature Birria tacos and other menu items using proper techniques and procedures.
- Ensure food quality, flavor, texture, presentation, and portion sizes remain consistent.
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, toppings, and proteins following company recipes.
- Monitor food temperatures, freshness, and food safety procedures.
- Assist with inventory, ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing food waste.

Kitchen Leadership & Supervision
- Help supervise kitchen operations during service.
- Ensure all team members follow Holy Taco recipes, standards, and procedures.
- Maintain consistency so every customer receives the same authentic Holy Taco experience.
- Monitor cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen.
- Help create a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems,



organization, and service.

Food Safety & Organization
- Follow all Food Safe, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of food products.
- Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and preparation duties.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and operating efficiently at all times.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a cook, line cook, kitchen lead.
- Has experience preparing Mexican food (Birria experience is a strong asset).
- Understands kitchen organization, food quality, and consistency.
- Is a natural leader who enjoys helping and guiding others.
- Takes pride in producing excellent food every time.
- Is reliable, responsible, and punctual.
- Can remain calm and organized during busy periods.
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Has Food Safe Level 1 certification (or is willing to obtain it).
- Can work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Can stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
