Overview The Thorold Community Activities Group is a non-profit Community Centre offering a variety of recreational services to the residents of Thorold and surrounding areas. We are seeking a Front Services Administrator, where your high level of customer service and organizational skills will be at the heart of our centre. In this vital role, you will serve as the welcoming face of our organization, managing front desk operations with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Your proactive approach will ensure smooth daily operations, exceptional member and guest experiences, and seamless communication across all departments. This position offers an exciting prospect to develop your administrative skills in a growing community organization.
The ideal candidate is responsible, customer service oriented, and able to work independently while following established procedures. Reliability is essential, as this role maintains a welcoming and well functioning space for our community members.
Responsibilities
- Greet members, guests and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression of the organization.
- Manage the phone system and emails efficiently, directing calls, and following up in a timely manner.
- Verify member information and keep records up to date.
- Handle general information questions and assist members/guests as necessary.
- Maintain organization of records while adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Adhere to our clean culture and follow the health and safety policies.
- Assist with event planning, social media and communications.
- Support administrative tasks using Microsoft Office, Canva and internal platforms.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in reception and/or an administrative role.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage operations efficiently while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Available evenings and a minimum of two Saturdays a month.
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check

Pay: From $21.40 per hour
Expected hours: 12.0 – 20.0 per week
Education
- DCS / DEC (preferred)
Experience:
- customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- administrative: 1 year (preferred)
