Full stack developer - Long Term Care Home Apps

Are you a new graduate or early-career developer who wants to build technology that directly supports resident care, clinical teams, and healthcare operations? This is an opportunity to apply your full-stack development skills in a meaningful environment where your work can improve documentation, workflows, reporting, inventory management, and quality improvement in long-term care.

We are looking for a motivated Full-Stack Developer to help design, build, and improve secure, user-friendly clinical applications. You will work closely with clinical, quality, administrative, and operational stakeholders to understand real-world needs and turn them into practical digital solutions.

What You’ll Do

· Build, maintain, and improve full-stack web applications used in clinical and long-term care operations.

· Develop intuitive, accessible interfaces for nurses, care teams, managers, and administrative users.

· Design APIs, data models, dashboards, forms, and reporting workflows.

· Integrate applications with existing systems, databases, and operational data sources.

· Support privacy-conscious handling of sensitive healthcare information in alignment with Ontario healthcare expectations.

· Explore automation, anonymization, analytics, and responsible AI-assisted workflows to reduce manual work and improve decision-making.

· Improve application reliability, usability, accessibility, performance, and security.

· Document technical decisions, architecture, testing processes, and user workflows.

· Identify technical debt and contribute to scalable, maintainable development practices.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions that fit real clinical and operational workflows.





What We’re Looking For

· Recent graduate or early-career developer with education or project experience in software development, computer science, information technology, or a related field.

· Comfortable working across both frontend and backend development, with a willingness to learn new tools and frameworks.

· Experience through coursework, internships, co-op placements, capstone projects, personal projects, or open-source contributions.

· Knowledge of web application development, databases, APIs, version control, testing, and debugging.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate user needs into practical technical solutions.

· Explicit communication skills and confidence working with non-technical users, good in change management for end users and ensure adoption.

· Interest in healthcare, long-term care, clinical workflows, quality improvement, automation, and emerging technologies.

· A careful, responsible approach to privacy, security, accessibility, and documentation.

Helpful Skills and Technologies

· Frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar.

· Backend development using Node.js, .NET, Java, Python, or similar technologies.

· Relational or non-relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.

· API development, authentication, role-based access, and secure coding concepts.





· Reporting, dashboards, data visualization, workflow automation, or AI-assisted tools.

· Understanding of accessibility, usability, testing, and documentation best practices.

· Understanding of Artificial intelligence, AI coding.
