As part of the Social Development Division, you will report to the Manager of Community Development and work closely with stakeholders like United Way Toronto and Toronto Police Service.
Your expertise in community mobilization, risk-driven interventions, and partnership development will be essential in addressing complex social issues. This role involves coordinating community initiatives and developing strategies to improve access and support vulnerable populations. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide community development services and support
- Navigate complex situations involving various risk factors
- Co-chair partnership tables to enhance collaboration
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations
- Develop and implement strategies addressing community needs Requirements:
- Proven experience in community development initiatives
- Expertise in working with vulnerable communities
- Solid skills in coalition development and capacity building
- Degree in Sociology, Social Work, or related field
