Responsibilities

- Lead funeral planning consultations, listening carefully to families’ needs and preferences to craft personalized service plans
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of funeral arrangements, including transportation, casket selection, and service scheduling
- Conduct heavy lifting when handling caskets, floral arrangements, and equipment to ensure safe and respectful transfer and setup
- Provide exceptional customer service by offering guidance, support, and clear communication throughout the entire process
- Promote additional services such as memorial products or pre-arranged plans through friendly sales interactions
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of funeral services, ensuring all details are executed smoothly and professionally




- Maintain accurate documentation of arrangements, legal paperwork, and inventory records

Requirements

- Valid Funeral Director Class 1 or 2 license with relevant experience in funeral services or related fields
- Solid sales skills with the ability to gently promote additional services while maintaining sensitivity to families’ needs
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently during transportation and setup activities
- Excellent communication skills with a positive, empathetic attitude that reassures grieving families
- Ability to work some flexible hours as needed for funeral services
- Demonstrat organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple arrangements simultaneously
