Overview
Join our compassionate team as a Funeral Director, where you will play a vital role in guiding families through one of life's most meaningful moments. This dynamic position combines empathetic client service with operational excellence, ensuring every funeral service is handled with dignity, professionalism, and care. As a Funeral Director, you will coordinate all aspects of funeral arrangements, oversee transportation and setup, and provide support to grieving families with warmth and understanding.

Duties
- Meet with families to arrange personalized funeral, cremation, and memorial services
- Provide compassionate guidance and support to families throughout the funeral process
- Coordinate and oversee funeral services, visitations, graveside services, and celebrations of life
- Complete required documentation, permits, authorizations, and other administrative duties accurately
- Coordinate with cemeteries, clergy, celebrants, churches, hospitals, healthcare facilities, and other service providers
- Assist with transfers and the respectful care and preparation of the deceased
- Assist with embalming and other preparation duties as required
- Coordinate service details including music, flowers, stationery, photographs, livestreams, and memorial displays
- Prepare and maintain accurate funeral records and files
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with families, colleagues, and community partners
- Participate in an on-call and weekend rotation
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, dignity, and care
- Perform other duties associated with funeral service operations as required
Experience
- Previous experience in funeral service or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Solid sales skills are advantageous for guiding families through product options and service packages with confidence
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely is essential for handling caskets, equipment, and memorial items
- Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to assist grieving families during difficult times
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple arrangements efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
