Position Title: Glass CNC Technician

Position Summary
Glass World is seeking a skilled Glass CNC Technician to support our growing fabrication division. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery used in precision cutting, drilling, shaping, and edging of architectural and custom glass products. The technician ensures all work meets Glass World’s quality, safety, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Glass World CNC equipment (Intermac / Bavelloni / ) for cutting, milling, drilling, and edging.
- Read and interpret Glass World production drawings, templates, and digital CAD files.
- Safely load, position, and secure glass sheets using company‑approved handling procedures.
- Set machine parameters, tooling, offsets, and cutting paths according to job specifications.
- Perform daily and weekly maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and calibration of CNC machinery.
- Inspect finished glass components for accuracy, edge quality, hole placement, and defect‑free finish.
- Make program adjustments or machine corrections to maintain tight tolerances.
- Work closely with tempering and fabrication teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Complete all Glass World production logs, job tracking sheets, and quality documentation.
- Follow all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and glass‑handling standards.
- Report equipment issues, hazards, or production delays to the Production Manager immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC machinery; glass industry experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and DXF layouts.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting ability.
- Familiarity with CNC software (CAD/CAM, G‑code, Intermac/ Bavelloni interfaces).
- Comfortable working with large glass sheets and heavy materials.
- Ability to lift 90 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- High attention to detail and commitment to Glass World quality standards.
- Forklift certification an asset.
- Previous experience in glass fabrication, machining, or manufacturing preferred.

Work Environment
- Glass World fabrication facility with CNC machinery, overhead cranes, and glass‑handling equipment.
- Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and large glass materials.
- Required PPE: safety glasses, gloves, steel‑toe boots, hearing protection.
Compensation & Schedule
- Full‑time position
