We are looking for a passionate and skilled Hakka/Chinese Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Hakka and Chinese dishes for a Caribbean restaurant that delight our guests and uphold our restaurant’s high standards. Your expertise in traditional cooking techniques, food handling, and meal preparation will help create memorable dining experiences.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about Chinese cuisine, experienced in food service, and eager to contribute to a dynamic kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of Hakka and Chinese dishes following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Support food handling procedures, including proper storage, portioning, and waste management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery during busy service hours.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.




- Provide excellent food service by ensuring dishes meet quality standards and assisting with guest inquiries when needed.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant kitchens, particularly with Chinese cuisine, is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and kitchen operations within the food industry.
- Experience with meal preparation techniques specific to Hakka or Chinese cooking styles.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and support a positive kitchen atmosphere.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new recipes, cooking methods, and improve culinary skills continuously.
- A genuine passion for Chinese cuisine and delivering exceptional food experiences to guests.
