Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Helper Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will assist experienced mechanics in repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Your enthusiasm for hands-on work and mechanical systems will contribute to keeping equipment operational and ensuring safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

- Assist senior mechanics with repairs, inspections, and routine maintenance of heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to support assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks.
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, forklifts, and other industrial machinery under supervision to gain practical experience.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams to aid in troubleshooting mechanical or electrical issues.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling components or equipment during repair or maintenance procedures.
- Support the cleaning, organizing, and stocking of parts and tools in the workshop or job site.




- Follow safety protocols diligently during all activities to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members.

Qualifications

- Previous experience working with dealership or industrial equipment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery.
- Basic mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and electrical systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Customer service mindset with transparent communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.

Pay: $18.47-$20.23 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week
