About the Opportunity: Scholars Education Centre is an established brand providing individualized, after-school academic support for students of all grade levels. Our Maple Vaughan East location has an opening for a passionate and committed High School Math and Science Tutor.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Instruct students in personalized sessions (up to a 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio).
- Accurately track and report on student progress as required.
- Motivate and engage students in a fast-paced, dynamic learning environment.
- Work collaboratively as part of our center's team while also working independently with your students.

Qualifications & Subject Expertise:

- Math (Mandatory): Must have a strong command of Math from Grades 1 to 12, with the ability to confidently teach high school Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus & Vectors.
- Science (Strong Asset): We are also looking for candidates who can teach G9 and G10 Science, and Grade 11 & 12 Physics, Biology, or Chemistry.



You do not need to be able to teach all of these science subjects to apply, but the more you can teach, the stronger your application will be!
- Education: University Degree required; B.Ed. (completed or in progress) is a highly preferred asset.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Canada preferred.
- Language: Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

General Requirements:

- Energetic, energetic personality with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Able to commute reliably to our in-person center.

Schedule:

- Minimum two-day-per-week commitment.
- Flexible scheduling (excluding Fridays and weekends).
