We are seeking a qualified and agile Short-Term Grade 12 Physics Teacher to join our academic team at The Great Lakes College of Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction to senior students, ensuring they are prepared for assessments and future academic pursuits. This is an immediate-start, short-term contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver daily Physics lessons aligned with the Ontario Grade 12 curriculum.
- Conduct two eighty-five-minute class periods daily, providing rigorous and interactive instruction.
- Assess student understanding and provide constructive feedback to support academic success.
- Maintain a secure, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education or relevant teaching qualification is highly preferred.
- Strong subject matter expertise in Grade 12 Physics.
- Previous experience teaching high school students, preferably in a private or international school setting.
- Excellent Classroom Management and Communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a new environment and commence duties ASAP.
- OCT certification is an asset
Hours and Compensation:
- Duration: One to two weeks.
- Schedule: Two periods per day (one hundred seventy minutes total instruction time / 2 hours and 15 minutes).
- Compensation: 30 to 35 dollars per hour, commensurate with experience.
