Job Overview

We are seeking a Hog Operation Supervisor, who is a both a self-starter and a team player, to oversee daily hog farm operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the health, welfare, and productivity of the hog herd (farrow-to-finish) while ensuring compliance with safety and animal care standards.

Duties

- Supervise daily hog care activities, including feeding, watering, cleaning, and health monitoring
- Conduct regular inspections of hog facilities to maintain cleanliness, safety, and animal well-being
- Oversee the handling and movement of livestock using appropriate farm machinery and equipment
- Implement health protocols and assist with disease prevention measures (biosecurity)
- Maintain detailed records of herd health, feed schedules, equipment maintenance, and operational logs

Requirements





- In-barn swine experience - 3 to 5 years
- Proven mechanical knowledge related to barn and equipment operation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a farm workplace
- Knowledge of swine husbandry practices, farm safety regulations and biosecurity protocols
- Knowledge of Nedap and Cloudfarms programs and equipment
- Leadership skills in the ability to both lead and work alongside team members

Pay: $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 34.0 – 51.0 per week
