We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of residential and commercial HVAC equipment.

The successful candidate will diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, service heating and cooling equipment, perform component replacement, and complete service calls safely and efficiently. The position requires practical knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical components, basic plumbing, and the ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and troubleshoot heating and cooling system problems using manufacturer specifications, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
- Install, service, repair, and maintain:
- Gas furnaces
- Air conditioning systems
- Heat pumps
- Boilers and hydronic heating systems
- Ventilation and related HVAC equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections to identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components.
- Test and replace HVAC components such as motors, capacitors, contactors, relays, thermostats, belts, valves, pumps, sensors, and other mechanical or electrical parts.
- Identify and correct airflow, temperature, pressure, water-flow, and drainage problems.
- Perform basic plumbing work associated with HVAC and hydronic heating systems, including piping, fittings, condensate drainage, pumps, and water circulation.
- Troubleshoot and repair boiler and hydronic heating components where qualified to do so.
- Perform brazing, soldering, or welding-related work when required for HVAC system installation or repair and when properly trained and certified.
- Complete equipment start-up, operational testing, and system adjustments after installation or repair.




- Follow manufacturer installation and service procedures and applicable safety requirements and codes.
- Maintain accurate service reports documenting equipment condition, diagnostic findings, work completed, parts used, and recommendations for additional work.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding the cause of equipment problems, work performed, and recommended repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Work independently on service calls and cooperate with other technicians and tradespeople on larger installation and mechanical projects.

Required Qualifications
- Previous professional experience as an HVAC Technician, HVAC Service Technician, or Mechanical Technician.
- Practical experience diagnosing, servicing, and repairing residential and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of heating, cooling, ventilation, and hydronic systems.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC equipment.
- Ability to safely use common HVAC and mechanical tools and test equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls while meeting scheduled appointments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.




- Ability to work safely in residential, commercial, and mechanical environments.

Additional Qualifications The following qualifications are considered an asset:
- Gas Technician certification (G2 or G1).
- OBT certification or experience working with boilers.
- Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (313A) certification.
- Sheet Metal Worker experience or certification.
- Plumbing experience or relevant trade certification.
- Welding or brazing experience.
- Experience with heat pumps and hydronic heating systems.
- Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment.
- Construction or renovation experience involving mechanical systems.
- Manufacturer-specific HVAC training or certifications.

Working Conditions
- Work is performed at residential and commercial customer locations.
- Regularly required to work in mechanical rooms, basements, rooftops, crawl spaces, and other confined or physically demanding areas.
- Must be able to lift and carry HVAC components, tools, and equipment as required for the job.
- May require occasional evening, weekend, or emergency service work.
- Personal protective equipment and company safety procedures must be followed at all times.

Pay: $37.90-$40.13 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 per week
