About Oak & Rose

Oak & Rose Counselling is a growing private practice committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-informed, trauma-informed, and inclusive mental health care across Northwestern Ontario.

Our work is grounded in five core values:

Connection — We believe meaningful therapeutic relationships are at the heart of effective counselling. We value warmth, authenticity, compassion, and genuine human connection.

Clinical Excellence — We are committed to ethical, evidence-informed care, ongoing professional development, strong clinical judgment, and thoughtful practice.

Weight Neutrality — We approach health and well-being without centring weight, dieting, or body size. We strive to provide weight-inclusive and body-affirming care.

Outreach — We believe quality mental health care should extend beyond the walls of a counselling office. We value community partnerships, education, collaboration, and improving access to services in rural, northern, and underserved communities.

Trauma-Informed Care — We recognize the impact of trauma and prioritize safety, choice, collaboration, empowerment, and respect throughout the therapeutic process.

The Opportunity

Oak & Rose Counselling is seeking compassionate, skilled, and motivated Independent Contractor Mental Health Clinicians to join our growing practice.

We welcome applications from Registered Social Workers, Registered Psychotherapists, Psychologists, Psychological Associates, and other appropriately regulated mental health professionals who share our commitment to high-quality, client-centred care.

This opportunity may be particularly well suited to clinicians who would like to build or expand a private-practice caseload without having to establish all of the infrastructure independently. Oak & Rose provides the practice environment, referral pathways, systems, technology, marketing, and opportunities for collaboration while contractors maintain the independence and flexibility associated with self-employment.

We are especially interested in clinicians with experience working in rural, remote, northern, or underserved communities. We value the adaptability, breadth of practice, cultural humility, and understanding of community context that often develops through this work.

Contractors have flexibility in developing their schedules and may provide services virtually, in person, or through a combination of both, depending on location and practice needs.
