Eco Carbon Foam Inc. is a growing Ontario manufacturer of XPS rigid foam insulation products. We are looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our production and maintenance team.

This is a hands-on production-floor position. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing industrial production equipment while also working as an active member of the production team during manufacturing operations.

We are looking for someone who is mechanically strong, comfortable around industrial machinery, has some electrical troubleshooting knowledge and can perform basic welding and fabrication work.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

- Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical failures involving motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, conveyors, chains and other production equipment
- Troubleshoot pneumatic systems
- Assist with troubleshooting basic industrial electrical problems
- Replace or repair motors, sensors, switches and other machine components where qualified and authorized
- Perform basic welding and metal fabrication
- Fabricate or modify brackets, guards, supports and other machine components
- Assist with equipment installation, upgrades and improvements
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime
- Identify recurring equipment problems and assist with permanent corrective solutions

Production Support

- Work as an active member of the production team during manufacturing operations
- Assist line operators and production employees during equipment and production line start-ups




- Assist operators during production line shutdowns
- Help prepare equipment for production runs
- Monitor equipment operation and respond to mechanical issues during production
- Assist production operators with machine adjustments and troubleshooting
- Support safe and productive changeovers, cleaning and equipment preparation
- Assist production personnel with operational tasks when required
- Communicate equipment concerns to operators and management
- Help ensure equipment is ready and safe for the next production run

This position requires someone who is comfortable working directly alongside production operators rather than performing maintenance duties only. Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for candidates with practical industrial maintenance experience.

Preferred experience includes:

- Industrial machinery maintenance and repair
- Mechanical troubleshooting
- Motors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps and conveyors
- Pneumatic systems
- Basic industrial electrical troubleshooting
- Sensors and switches
- Welding and metal fabrication
- Power tools and shop equipment
- Preventative maintenance
- Manufacturing or industrial production experience

Electrical, millwright or other industrial trade education/certification is considered an asset. Strong practical industrial experience will also be considered. Safety Qualifications The following are preferred assets:

- Valid forklift operator safety training/certificate
- Current WHMIS training
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training




- Previous industrial or manufacturing safety training

Additional company-specific safety and equipment training will be provided as required.

Schedule Candidates must be available to work day and/or night shifts based on the assigned schedule and production requirements.

The position involves working in an active manufacturing environment and requires regular interaction with production machinery and production personnel.

Probationary Period

This position is subject to a six-month probationary period, administered in accordance with applicable Ontario employment standards.
