Job Summary

We are seeking an IT support professional (Contract) to validate our IT Support & Cloud Technician curriculum, training resources and assessment tools. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge of service desk operations, end-user and Windows support, networking, Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud support, identity and access management, and cybersecurity fundamentals. This role involves evaluating curriculum materials to ensure alignment with Ministry expectations, occupational competencies and current IT support industry best practices.

Duties

- Serve as a technical and industry authority on IT support, service desk and cloud support standards and practices
- Provide expert consultation to ensure training materials align with applicable Ministry requirements, competency-based outcomes and occupational standards for user support technicians
- Review and validate curriculum content, lesson plans, lab activities and instructional resources to ensure technical accuracy, relevance and alignment with current IT support practices
- Ensure evaluation criteria, including practical and lab-based assessments,



are measurable, fair and aligned with stated learning outcomes and Ministry expectations for training quality
- Identify gaps or areas for improvement and provide written recommendations for curriculum enhancement

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary credential in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Computer Networking or a related field
- Industry certifications preferred, such as CompTIA A , Network or Security , Microsoft certifications (MS-900, AZ-900, Azure Administrator or Microsoft 365 Administrator), or ITIL Foundation
- Minimum 5 years of skilled experience working in IT support, help desk, desktop support or service desk roles within the last 10 years, including hands-on experience with Windows, Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and networking
- Strong working knowledge of service desk processes, ticketing systems and current cloud support practices

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: $100.00-$150.00 per day
