Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Iyengar Yoga teacher who values precision, alignment, mindful movement, and thoughtful instruction.

The ideal candidate has formal training in the Iyengar Yoga tradition and is comfortable teaching students with different levels of experience. The teacher should be able to create a structured, supportive class environment while maintaining the principles and integrity of Iyengar Yoga.

Duties

- Teach scheduled Iyengar Yoga classes
- Provide clear and precise instruction based on Iyengar Yoga principles
- Demonstrate and explain postures, alignment, and appropriate use of props
- Provide modifications and appropriate variations based on individual student needs
- Observe students carefully and offer constructive corrections
- Create a safe, focused, and welcoming learning environment
- Maintain qualified communication with clients and studio management
- Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the teaching area
- Follow studio policies and class procedures

Qualifications





- Formal Iyengar Yoga teacher training/certification
- Previous experience teaching Iyengar Yoga
- Strong knowledge of Iyengar Yoga methodology, alignment, sequencing, and use of props
- Ability to work with students at different levels of experience
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Professional, reliable, and punctual
- Has a genuine commitment to the Iyengar Yoga tradition
- Teaches with precision, patience, and clarity
- Is attentive to individual students and their needs
- Creates a supportive environment for both beginners and experienced practitioners
- Values professionalism and high-quality instruction
- Is interested in building a long-term relationship with a boutique studio
